To be eligible, applicants must have:

  • A job offer or employment contract of at least six months.

  • A minimum gross annual salary of € 43,632.

Applications are currently open for roles in these sectors:

Key incentives and benefits of the EU Blue Card in Cyprus:

  • Legal residence & work rights in Cyprus: With entry, re‑entry and residency privileges equal to those of EU nationals.

  • Equal treatment: Blue Card holders receive the same working conditions, salary standards, access to vocational training, and social insurance rights as Cypriot citizens.

  • Family reunification: spouses and dependent children may join the cardholder and receive residence permits. Spouses also gain unrestricted access to the local labor market.

  • Pathway to EU long‑term residence: residence periods in different member states can be combined toward eligibility for long‑term EU resident status.

  • Fast‑track access to citizenship: Blue Card holders may apply for naturalization after 5 years of continuous legal residence as a highly skilled professional. Requirements include knowledge of the Greek language, a clean criminal record, proof of stable income, and intention to reside permanently.

The EU Blue Card is European Union’s strategy to attract highly qualified professionals from non-EU/EEA countries. Adopted in November 2021, the EU Blue Card initiative addresses the growing labor and skill shortages across key sectors of the EU economy.
