New Funding to enhance cybersecurity in Cyprus Tourism SMEs

A new funding opportunity has been announced by the Government of Cyprus under the programme “Enhancing Cybersecurity for Small and Medium Enterprises in the Republic of Cyprus 2025 – Tourism.” The programme will provide € 1,000,000 for cybsersecurity support and is implemented by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) in collaboration with the Digital Security Authority (DSA). The submission deadline is 18 November 2025.
The initiative aims to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector strengthen their cybersecurity and adopt recognized standards of digital resilience. Eligible applicants are small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the tourism sector. The funding per project is between € 20,000 and € 65,000, with an upper limit of € 75,000 for projects that adopt the ENISA AR-in-a-Box tool.
The programme supports SMEs through:
Acquisition of solutions or services that strengthen infrastructure, systems, and practices.
Projects that integrate ENISA’s AR-in-a-Box awareness and training tool may receive additional funding up to €10,000.
This programme forms part of Cyprus’ national strategy to improve cybersecurity. By empowering SMEs with tools, expertise, and certification, the initiative ensures that businesses in the tourism sector can better protect against growing cyber threats.
